SUGGESTED THINGS TO DO
Whether you are attending the wedding from near or far, there are a lot of things to do in Goa!
Cabo de Rama is a medieval hillfort located on the coast of Canacona, Goa. The fort gets its name from Lord Rama, hero of the epic Ramayana. He and his beloved wife Sita took refuge here during the time they were exiled from Ayodhya.
The fort regularly switched hands between Hindu and Muslim monarchs, until the 1760 when the Portuguese gained control. The present structure with its walls, moats, ramparts turrets, chapel and cannons are remnants of the Portuguese era.
Cliffs drop steeply to the sea at the western side of the fort, which overlooks the entire length of Colva beach and the Canacona stretch.
Visit Holy Cross Chapel, Baradi on the way for serene views. Stop at The Cape Goa or Red Crab Seafood Restaurant for a drink and a bite.
